The Connection Between Hope Sandoval and the 80s LA Paisley Underground Scene

Mazzie came out of the 80s LA paisley underground scene but like even looking at this playlist you made it makes so much sense to compare them or to put them with echo in the bunny man with Nancy Sinatra fleet with Mac like PJ Harvey and then forward Delana and Taylor. Does Mazzie start feel rooted at all to 90s LA for you or do they feel sort of timeless and ruthless? I wish that in hindsight I asked hope Sandoval about her connection because she's a Chicana from East LA who kind of escaped her present through the music of the past.
