Intentional receiving results in living a life as a godly father easier than trying to do it yourself, which can feel like hard work. Proverbs 3:3 says, let love and faithfulness never leave you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. And I think the writing of it on our heart is what intentional receiving is all about. It's rewriting our heart, rewriting what's on our heart.
As guys, we've all crossed lines that we never should have crossed and made mistakes that we wish we could go back and change. But while time machines aren't an option, we can rest in the knowledge that God provides fresh starts. Even solid believers who have walked with the Lord for years can get a much-needed second chance in Him. Author and speaker Jeff Kemp has discovered that truth firsthand, as He has learned more about what it means to be a son of the Father. His message to men is that we really can begin again if we’re willing to receive what Christ has for us and embrace the unique identity He offers.
