Survival of the Fittest in a Changing World

As humans evolved, the human baby would be less likely to naturally cling to its mother. The successful animal was able to improve its diet by developing tools that could enable it to eat much more protein rich, meat based diet. And as such, there needed to be a close social bond between these animals for them to be able to allow their children to develop into the more advanced animal. In summary, this ties everything together. Survival of the fittest and subsequent evolution of a modernizing human in a changing world climate requires a more intelligent animal.
