Bikram's Yoga School Hits the California New Age Community Like a Fucking Bomb

Bikram launched his yoga college of India at a small North Beach studio in San Francisco in 1972. Michael Jackson, Jeff Bridges, Shirley McLean, Barbara Streisand and Raquel Welch were among Bikram's celebrity clientele. His classes heated to a regulation 40 degrees Celsius designed to mimic conditions in Kolkata. He would wear speedos and issue bizarre commands in 2007.
