I'm fortunate to have a decent collection of buyers, you know, my work's affordable. I make sure that if somebody wants something by me, they can probably get it for around £5 or £10. And more recently with the kind of exhibitions that I've been doing, I've been trying to get in front of people who don't think they're into art yet. You know, perhaps if you can't afford 200 bucks for a screen print, you might be able to afford 50 for a T-shirt. It's deliberately a very accessible style. It's quite sort of easy to like because it's bright and colourful and fun.
In conversation with Mysterious Al, a contemporary artist / street artist from London now living in Melbourne, Australia. The conversation covers Al's background, how he makes his art, the difference between street art & graffiti, attitudes towards graffiti, how Al needs to use social media (but doesn't like it!) his recent ghost train exhibition, and more.
