Steve Levitt: I was recently rereading the latest edition of your book, Animal Liberation. He says meat consumption in the US suddenly fell every year from 2008 to 2015. But now it's trending sharply back upwards and is as high as it's ever been, he says. Levitt: The bigger problem is the sharp rise in meat consumption in China.
