The History of Gile De Ray
Joan and Gile had become quite close but both of them were anti-authoritarian albeit with different motivations. Joan believed herself answerableonly to God while Gile was answerable only to his own desires. The Marshall of France this position it not only gave Gile higher pay and privileges but it made him an officer of the crown. In other words Gile de Ray was even more powerful and even more shielded by the establishment than he'd ever been.
