What Is the Difference Between Nix OS and POSIX?

Nix is a Linux distro, but it's different. It has one declarative file that you can kind of copy to a machine and say "this is how I describe my machine" Nix works in the small, not in the beginning. There are many misnomers in the community because it was done such a long time ago and never fixed.
