Dr. David Seimel: Today we're discussing the clinical evaluation for bacterial conjunctivitis. Dr. Davin Johnson is a professor of Ophthalmology at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. He says red eye is one of the most common reasons to see a generalist physician about an ocular condition. The presence of itching or dry eyes can be suggestive of allergic Conjunctivitis., he says.
