Astronomers have developed an algorithm that uses machine learning to clean up the blurry pictures and stuff seen through the atmosphere. They were able to get it to predict what the original data should be looking like. And we saw another version of this technique used in a much more dramatic way with the image of the Event Horizon at the heart of M87.
