The Foreign Direct Product Rule and the Taiwan Crisis

In the Russia case, those actions have been extremely effective. The reason for that is obviously Moscow's actions were egregious and shocking. From an economic hit, it's minimal. Foreign firms didn't lose much relatively speaking in terms of market access and revenue. Any type of similar action against China in response to a Taiwan crisis would look very, very different.
