The Importance of Property Testing in Programming

Property testing is super interesting to me because the traditional or usual standard tests that I would write are those that validate my expectations about a program. And so Erlang ties into that and that the unforeseen errors are handled. Property based testing lets me write tests that explore the program in a way that I wouldn't have thought of doing it by myself. There's also a lot of power in these kinds of tests like if you do unit tests for them you get a lot of coverage but the quick check and derivatives of it relying on proper which is the one I'm using in proper testing website slash book has support for stateful testing.
