The Importance of External Locus of Control
Leftism teaches people to have an external locus of control, it teaches people to blame the external world for their own failings. A recent survey found that most people don't feel like they have a lot of power over their lives. This is largely a result of the loss of traditional ways of looking at the world and the loss of religion particularly. But I do see the value of religion at community level where people engage in these kinds of you know, these nice little sort of church gatherings.
