The Importance of Rationality to the Enlightenment Critics

Rationality to these critics leads to cultural imperialism when applied at a societal level. If rationality is relative to the culture it's being used in, then what the Enlightenment produce are societies that appoint themselves as judge, jury, and executioner of the rest of the world based on their own narrow parameters.
