Introduction
At the end of the Cold War, Estonia, Lithuania and East Germany all went through an incredibly tough transition. But not every country ripped that band-aid off. Some countries half tore it off, or picked the way the size a little bit. In Bulgaria, that band-Aid was never ripped off. The Russian influence within the Bulgarian system never really fully left. And we now see a country increasingly tearing itself into directions. This is the red line where we interview three geopolitical experts on one big issue shaping news both here and overseas.
