What's the Construct of Individualism Versus Collectivism?

20 20 coronoveris pandemic is hugely relevant to the topic of this pardcast i did in 20 17. What initially got me thinking about the construct of individualism versus collectivism was a moment of culture shock that i had a few years ago. I viewed the chinese and japanese people wearing face masks in public places as as an accusation. And when i was a kid seeing people in asian countries wearing face masks on news reports, it used to,. i'd feel insulted, almost. Doesn't seem very welcoming.
