The Drawbacks of Renewable Energy

Donco Franton: It is incorrect and entirely misleading to assert that a renewables grid will be cheaper unless you're okay with poor reliability. To produce the same electricity, wind takes four times as much land as gas, seven times as much as coal,. And you need to cover that land with enormous structures. If wind, solar, EVs, and the like are deployed at the envision pace, mineral supplies will have a hard time keeping up. The drawbacks of fossil fuels would still be there in a high renewables world.
