When i was a younger man and wanted to be a writer, you can't necessarily just go to a publisher and say, i would like to write a book. And you couldn't really do that, even with magazines and newspa. So i became an editor because there are a lot more editing jobs and there are writing jobs. In other words, like in the magazine world, editors are usually actual salaried jobs,. I wanted to be on the inside of something.
