Avoiding Impulse Purchases
I think the trick with avoiding impulse purchases is to give yourself some time to think about it. One thing that I try to do is I have a shopping list. And I do not buy anything that is not on my shopping list. When it comes to online purchases, I think it's a bit easier for me anyway. But what I tend to do is create some space. Usually I will add it to my basket, my checkout basket. That's a good way to avoid impulse purchases. So yeah, we can also say to buy on impulse, we use the preposition on. It was an impulse. Yes, it's a noun in this case. This was an impulse purchase.
