The Promise of God

There is something very human about all of us occasionally in our lives saying, Lord, if thou had spent here, something wouldn't have happened. A Shakespeare says it beautifully. I felt it at the killing fields. That's a moving place to be. One second, it's a bright August day and three seconds later, 80 to 100,000 people are dead. And we want to do with everybody what we are invited to do in the New Testament with Thomas and Martha.
