Do you see this as signs of real change in french politics, or is this just the sort of noise and jockeying far out from an election? I think what's really interesting about france is that ever since imanuel maron was elected and showed that you could do it outside an established political party, it has just thrown open the political landscape. Voters are confused. The political parties are struggling to sort of impose their candidates. In a way, it's macrin himself who has uppended the system and created what is an extremely unpredictable and unstable situation in france.
