Noradam Sayonuk: The King of Cambodia
Noradam Sayonuk was the longest reigning monarch in Cambodian history, 1860 to 1904. He made a bargain with the French by surrendering control of Cambodia to France's Indo-Shin enterprise. In 1860, naturalist and explorer Henri Muo had stumbled upon Angkor Wat. Thanks to Muo, this globally recognized UNESCO heritage site became an object of fascination that has drawn scholars and tourists from all over the world.
