Sarah rattemaker is the ounder of american unagi. Growing up in the mid west, sara loved fish. She decided to study aquiculture in college an alabama. And then she moved to maine and started looking around for agriculture businesses that i could do here. I literally had like an epiphany over the cutting board after i took the first eels that i had grown.
Where eels come from is a surprisingly difficult question to answer, in large part because scientists have never actually seen them reproduce in the wild. Gastropod explains why eels are somehow still so mysterious.
