The Experience of Black Residents in Philadelphia

Ben Fletcher was among the very few African Americans in Philadelphia who were in the IWW. We know he was a longshoreman, or at least some of the time that you could go down to the waterfront on the Delaware or to the west on the Schuylkill River. He wrote several short pieces for IWW publications that came out nationally and even internationally.
