Is Your Code Base Confusion?

Keeping things simple is a good principle to maintain. But it's also a principle that can be abused when people come into an existing project and start asking a lot of questions about, why are you doing it this way? I'm oing to rewrite all this because this doesn't look right to me. And i think that comes from not taking the time to understand things that are complex,. That sometimes necessarily have to be complex. Cyclomatic complexity and cognitive complexity. Yes, i know you can measure it - but now we're talking about more sugjective stuff.
