It's possible to get stuck on the transitional object. And when you do, it often stops filling its purpose. If you're 25 years old and still carrying your teddy bear, it hasn't served its purpose of giving you this full in ndence. It's just substituted one type of dependence for another. The point here is that it becomes either a skill building activity, or it's a compliance activity. Our goal there shouldn't be about r outcomes. Once we've got their capability, then the questionbecomes can we remove not can we, we should remove the process?
