Schop asked hunters to send him weird rabbits from the midwest. When they arrived at his lab, shop could see that the rabbits didn't actually have horns. They had these nartly disturbing growths that were caused by some kind of disease. So whatever this disease was, it was transmissible. But because of this filtration process, he was able to prove that all things it might be had been filtered out.
