The 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama killed four young girls aged 11 to 14. Davis wanted nothing more than to be back home with her community during this time of mourning and devastation. After graduation, she decided to attend the University of Frankfurt in Germany to study philosophy even further.
