Angola is the third biggest economy and subseent africa. Its a major oil exporter, which has brought it close ties with china in particular over recent years. It's helped to be a neutral ground for some conflict mediation between other countries in the region. And so successful elections that were peaceful would be a real positive step and a positive sign in the area.
