The Focus Fund Is a Great Idea, but I Will Never Say Never
I think one of the things is it's important for me to be humble on behalf of my team. Look, we run experiments. What we learned through that experiment is I would say the focus fund was a great idea. For an opportunity fund to work, it needs to be at a certain scale and it needs to make a certain number of bets. And then the other thing is there was maybe a time period, like let's say in the mid 2010s, when we invested in adiands and Shopify's would have been the perfect time for opportunity fund. But those times have passed.
