Benjamin Mendy was found not guilty of one count of rape and one of attempted rape at Chester Crown Court on Friday. Five days later the 29 year old had secured a new club signing a two year deal with Legan side L'Oreal. The Athletic's Laura Williamson explains why this case has been so controversial. Will there be any further ramifications between Mendy and Manchester City? I don't think we are.
