Can a New Boss Be Isolating?
People look to their own immediate supervisor even more than the leaders of a company. You don't have a lot of peers who you're interacting with moment to moment. So hopefully there's another manager you can go to, but it can be isolating. Some managers that I've talked to have really transitioned well have said that they've gone in and just asked everyone on their team to explain what's working and not.
