Seeking Justice and Advocating for Legal Change

This chapter follows the journey of Alyssa's parents as they navigate a difficult legal battle and advocate for a change in the law regarding voluntary intoxication. Despite facing challenges, they successfully push for the passing of a law unanimously, leading to a new trial with a different outcome for the guilty party. The chapter also highlights the establishment of the Purple Project in memory of the deceased and the importance of honoring victims' memories.
