The Importance of Semantics in Human Language

In this case you don't have the paired data and you want to go from these just vector valued communication streams to human language here. You use the common kind of grounding of the environment that both the human and the non-human agent are in because I guess you have to have something in common at some point right. And so you know in this coming back to talking about semantics gets at one of the really deep deep insights that we get from the linguist which is how do you represent the meaning of a sentence well you represent it as you know in some sense the set of worlds about which that sentence is true.
