The First Customer

Isa the grocer gave all her mangoes to her first and only customer, a penniless old woman. When Isa went back to her grocery, she hoped beyond hope that more customers might walk through her door. Low and behold, they did. All day long, Isa had her hands fantastically full as she rang up. By closing time, As Isa locked the doors and flipped the open sign to closed, she was exhausted and elated.
