In France, most people go to the University of their region. You can apply outside your region, but it's just simpler to stay in your region. But that could mean that you are moving - and here we're quite rural. My boyfriend lived with his parents all through university; he wouldn't have left home until he was maybe 24. And then yeah, then he moved, because he had to move for his job. So he spent three years in a different town, not actually too far from Paris. And when he moved back, he moved into his own apartment, because he wasn't going to like move back in with his parents at like age 30 or something. That's pretty
