Is Britain Complacent on Land Issues?
There's this idea that Britain is inherently kind of complacent on land issues. But we even in the UK, I don't think people were aware of the vibrant and lively tradition of struggles around land that have existed. The Tyler rebellion of 1381 was one of the most exciting moments of class struggle in UK history but we just don't really pay attention to it. And then right up to 1913, there was a struggle called the revolt of the fields in Ormskirk and Lancashire. So, you know, that's into the 1900s with a lively agrarian struggle and land movement in the UK.
