Book Review: Birdie Dares

The book is set in 1957, around the time Splitnik is out there. It's a lady who was an actress on Broadway starting to become successful and there was a stage accident. She lost her career as an actress, became a Pinkerton detective for a little while, and then she became her own private eye. In the 50s, women weren't allowed to like the same thing a men like because they weren't supposed to men rule the world.
