Anti-Earthquake Building Codes in Turkey
The reason the building's collapsed in Turkey is because there wasn't enough regulation and building codes. In a system like Turkey where there's no rule of law, what happens is the government bureaucrats are easy to bribe. So you bribe the government bureaucrats and you build whatever building you want. We don't have an unregulated, true free market capitalist unregulated building code environment.
