In May, the jobless rate for the 16 to 24-inch group paid a record high of 20.8%. A survey published by Mocha found that 45% of graduates received no job offers during last autumn's high-rate season. Some universities have reportedly been trying to boost employment rates by pressuring their students to get jobs before they graduate. China is currently in this economic recovery stage after the Beijing central government ended its three years of border closures and harsh zero-COVID policies late last year.
