The Rise of Stand-Your-Ground Defenses
Lester Rosebaum pleaded not guilty to the charges of first-degree felony assault and armed criminal action before being released on bond. We expect that if past is prelude, we will likely see another stand-your-ground type defense here, someone who's in their own home that says that they were in fear and they decide that deadly force was the answer to that problem. If I would have let Mr. Rosebaum take my firearm from me, he would abuse it and killed me with it and probably killed more people.
