The Power Grab of the International Health Regulations

This current round of negotiations for further amendments to those IHR include a grab bag of proposals of potential amendments. Some of the ones that pop out immediately include the idea of striking out the words, quote, full respect for the dignity, human rights, and fundamental freedoms of persons from the IHR principles. This is an astounding power grab that is represented in these two parallel processes, the treaty that they're not calling a treaty and the International Health Regulations amendments which are separate processes run by separate governing bodies.
