Atheism Is Just a Lack of Belief in God

I prefer not to say I'm an atheist, but just to say I don't believe that God exists. Some people on Twitter were telling me that they got very, very dramatic about it. It was just part of a Q&A. A dictionary's job is to tell you how is it that people use these words. When someone says this word, what do they mean?
