The Tel Dan Annals

In 1993, in the extreme northeast of Israel, archaeologists uncovered a paving stone. It was made out of basalt and had been broken off of something long before. A large stone steely covered with Aramaic writing records a conquest by Syrian king Hazael into Israel. The Meshe Steely reveals that the Moabites also thought themselves at the center of history.
