Your understanding of Ezekiel 34 and this larger story of the failure of the shepherds of God's people leading up to Jesus saying, I am the good shepherd. In many ways it has undergirded you as a teacher to figure out how to teach the passage rightly. If there's one place that you can land, I would say if you're teaching John 6, get Exodus open. If you're Teaching John 10, get Ezekiel open.
