The Moral Economy - Why Are People Buying Bread Outright?
The goal of these riots is basically to prevent bread from becoming an exchange value. People who like nead houses, tolike live in them, don't get a house because they're being held by people who are trying to get their value to appreciate. The second explanation that historians came up with is something called the moral economy. And in this modele, people aren't just reacting, like, price increase, wut wat they're actually reacting to is what becomes known as the entitlement gap.
