It was interesting to see how the timeline was very deliberately blurred in this documentary. The saviour-like narrative of this documentary made me feel a bit uncomfy. It felt like it was of another era. And there's no doubt Selena Gomez clearly wants to do good work. But I think for me, the way it was framed as the most important part of her story and having it, including a scene where she says she wants to write curriculum for children on the other side of the world left a little to be desired"
