Habituation makes you more sensitive to things that are probably more important from a survival standpoint. So like the bunny rabbit that didn't attack me, even though it had a hundred opportunities to attack me, I'm not going to worry about the bunny rabbit anymore. The upside is that we habituate and it's a heuristic. It's a shortcut and it lets us get on with our lives. We don't have toorry about the things we don’t have to worry about essentially, right?
