i was learning a little bit of icelandic back in the day, just because i had a really deep interest in the closest language that's still spoken. So old norse was age in that later became am swedish, norwegian, danish and icelandic. But icelandic has made a conscious effort to remove any foreign words from their language. And so it always really interests me how there's obviously no individual person whoever decides, ok, we're gong to import shiploads of words from english into our language.
