Ellie Leibowitz teaches at the Child Study Center at Yale. She has developed a program called Space, which treats childhood anxiety by working with the parents directly and exclusively without even seeing the children in most cases. This treatment is based upon a concept known as accommodation. Accommodation is basically anything that a parent does to try to help a child avoid feeling anxious.
